Cassie Day

Hi Guys, I’m Cassie. I have been working here at The Beggar’s Theatre for 4 years. I started as a customer service apprentice. Since working here, I have gained a level 2 diploma in customer service and business admin.

I feel like I have come out of my shell a lot over the past 4 years. I love getting to meet new people and seeing our regular customers. We have the most fantastic shows and being able to enjoy them with you guys is a bonus! We have a great little team here at Beggar’s Towers and I love working alongside everyone. Xx

Hiya, my name is Damo I have just started here at the Beggars. I have been working in the arts since I was 17 and I have known Jakki since then! I’m really excited to be part of what’s going on here at the Beggars and in this town.

My love for the arts started when I joined Barrow Youth Theatre and I cannot wait to see and hear the ideas that the young beggars have to offer.

I am a musician and love to play in live bands and especially love to record music. I really enjoy the technical side of theatre and always like to play with the new gadgets on offer.

Sally Anne

Cumbrian born and bred I left my small town of Barrow to work as an actor musician over 17 years ago. Touring across the country and the world in several theatre productions specifically for young people including The Gruffalo’s Child, The Boy who cried Wolf covid brought me back home. Having worked as a children’s party entertainer in London, Yorkshire as a fairy I decided to use this character for my first children’s play which I wrote for the Beggars in house production of ‘The Fairy who lost her Sparkle.’ Having had a great response to my spoken word ‘Our Barra Town’ I am continuing to explore my poetry and host a gathering in my hometown where we share our writing which is so lovely to be a part of. I am loving being involved in the creative world again and can’t wait to work with you all on creating great theatre in Cumbria.
