Made In Millom will be hitting the town on Saturday 10th February!
From 12 noon, come down to the market square in Millom and buy some tasty hot street food from Love Pizza and Fodder. Once you’re fed have a browse through the work of some local craftspeople, and grab a free coffee sample from new local business Coastal Coffees.
Alongside the market stalls we’ll have an All Kinds craft tent where you can have a go at some simple crocheting to create a ribbon, led by Joey from The Crochet Corner. There’ll be space to sit down and chat too.
At 2.30pm, Millom Operatic Amateur Society is performing a matinee of their pantomime Wizard of Oz. Tickets are £7.50 from Home and Sole or from the Millom Palladium.
At 4pm, the All Kinds party procession will arrive at the square. The float is created by students of Millom School along with creative lead Hannah Fox. All are welcome to join the float, and dance along.
The All Kinds stage in The Beggar’s Theatre kicks off with La’al Big Band at 4.30pm. This free event will also feature performances from the Beggar’s Youth Theatre, Make New and Mend’s Cotton Bobbin Ensemble and The Pilgrim Storyteller. Plus the Beggar’s bar will be open selling drinks and snacks.
Then after the performances we’ll head back outside for some outdoor projections in the square. These will showcase the work created by local people over sessions run in Millom Library and the Vapour Bar.
It’s set to be a fun day for all the family – with lots of it free too! So pop the date in your diary and we’ll see you in Millom on the 10th Feb!
