HI Folks, sorry that it has been a while but I will try to do better this year! Covid has caused so much mayhem!

Ok, firstly I’d like to wish you all a very Happy New Year. This is our year folks! Positive thinking 🙂

I’d like to welcome two new members to our team, Steve Wharton and Lauren Atkinson who have come on board to our creative team to deliver more outreach and youth theatre projects both at the theatre and in schools and the community.

Steve is a Story Teller, musician, singer/songwriter and film maker. Lauren is a First Class honours Film Maker, Production designer and script writer. Together the three of us are hoping to widen the opportunities for young people and for the community as a whole to develop and create more participatory workshops and regular classes.

We are already on the front foot and running with new groups, schools projects and a Half Term Film Making workshop. More info over on the Moore Arts: Millom Youth Theatre page.

Next week brings the start of our 2022 programme of wonderful events with Toyah! Actual real life Toyah Wilcox is coming to Millom on Thursday 3rd Feb and it’s almost sold out. Friday 4th Feb we have the return of a wonderful actor Mark Farrelly who is brining us the story of Frankie Howerd in Howerd’s Way. So, lots on and lots more still booking. Exciting. There’s no stopping us… it’s go big or go bust!

Hope we will see you at some point along the way and we cannot wait.

Lots of love

Jaks and Team Beggars xx
